Every congregation is invited to share their own unique story. Each Atlantic District parish will tell of their early beginnings, the hardships and trials along the way, the joys and celebrations, the hopes and challenges. We also want to hear about your current mission. If you can adapt your story to past, present and future, it will parallel the thematic of the District Jubilee! As a district with great diversity, we truly have much in common as Lutheran Christians seeking to submit to God's Will and spreading the amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. We need to hear from YOUR congregation! Please send in your history and current mission. Include photos, some historic and some recent. Your written submission should be submitted electronically (email preferred) and can be in an email or attached as a MS WORD document. It should be between 500-1500 words (due to website protocol, it will be edited). Pictures should be high resolution and preferably in .jpeg format. Please email these submissions to ad_jg@concordia-ny.edu with Congregational History in the subject line. It is our goal that by the end of the Anniversary year every current congregation of the Atlantic District will be represented in this online series. However, this is a team effort. We need to hear from YOUR congregation. Please respond to the call for providing your church's history and pictures to the Atlantic District and get them into us so we can share YOUR history with others!
