Long Island Concert of Praise

We are blessed to be part of a wonderful ministry-oriented district with many exciting events planned throughout the spring. We have thoroughly explored both the calendar and the venue options. In doing so, it has became clear that long standing events planned by sister organizations, congregations, individuals as well as venues in Long Island make it impossible to reschedule the Concert of Praise.

A great deal has been learned from this experience, not the least of which is that God’s people have a strong desire to come together to praise and thank our awesome God. We are indebted to our Concert Planning Committee – Henry DeVries, Cindy Holden, George Heath and Rev. Dien Taylor and Rev. William Harmon for the many hours and hard work that went into preparation for the concert. We also appreciate the many choirs and groups that were prepared for Sunday.

It is our hope to attempt something like this again but, in the meantime, we encourage you to participate in some of the other events (see calendar at www.ad-lcms.org) and possibly think about hosting something in your region…a praise band event, a prayer meeting, a joint program with other LCMS parishes in your area.

We thank God for His many blessings, the gift of music, and we praise him this day and always.
