Trinity, Islip Ordains SMP Pastor

Trinity Lutheran Church – Islip

On December 18, 2011 Pastor Michael Staneck was ordained as SMP Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Islip New York. Over 300 individuals, including members of Trinity, many family members and friends of Pastor Mike, attended the ordination. The ceremony was very inspiring and moving with Pastor David Wackenhuth and Rev. Dr. David Benke presiding. There were a number of Pastors and Deacons in attendance from the Atlantic District who took part in the ceremony as well as the Vicar from True Light in Chinatown, Matt Staneck, Pastor Mike's son.

Trinity's Choir, Bell Choir and Trace, which is Trinity's contemporary band, enhanced the ceremony. A dinner was held in Trinity's Fellowship Hall where all enjoyed good food and fellowship.
